GAMESAID FUNDRAISING GALA RETURNS IN OCTOBER
Black-tie event dedicated to celebrating UK games industry charity fundraisers returns.
Takes place Thursday 19 October November at One George Street in Central London.
UK games industry charity GamesAid has confirmed the date for its 2023 annual fundraising Gala: Thursday 19 October.
The event will build on the work of the 2022 debut event which raised nearly £30,000 through a mix of ticket sales, donations, raffle entries and a silent auction.
For 2023 the event takes place at One George Street Taking, with an industry dinner and presentation for 250 guests.
GamesAid has distributed over £4.4m to smaller charities that support disadvantaged and disabled children and young people since its founding in 2008.
All the profits from the Gala will be distributed to the organisations that GamesAid supports: AFK: Working with Disabilities, Access Sport, Autistica, Game Therapy, and Solving Kids Cancer.
On the night itself GamesAid is also planning to award a handful of special recognition awards to its most committed fundraisers – including stand-out work from staff and volunteers at its partner charities.
More information can be found at www.gamesaid.org/our-events/gamesaid-gala-2023/ Tickets for the event are on sale now with early bird prices that honour 2022 costs (deadline Tuesday 19 September).
Tables are priced at £3495 while tickets cost £375 each.

About Games Aid
GamesAid is a UK based video games charity (Registered UK Charity #1081706) which acts as an umbrella to support a number of smaller charities who help disadvantaged and disabled children and young people.
Members of the games industry propose a range of charities to receive support from the UK games industry, with the members of Games Aid democratically selecting a number of organisations to back each year. Our current charities are AFK: Working with Disabilities, Access Sport, Autistica, Game Therapy, and Solving Kids Cancer.
Games Aid is a non-trading body, administered by Trustees who operate on a fixed term basis.
